despite my best efforts to always back up my computer data, i lost everything last night. i'll spare you the details here, but rest assured that the always prepared andy was out maneuvered by a box of wires and metal. the bastard. it's all gone - pictures, mp3s, banking information, bookmarks, quickbooks data, clinic- and school-related files - everything. gone.
i feel like my dog just died.
so, after hours of re-installations and updates, i think that i am officially back to the beginning. perhaps this event will help my wife see the need for that second hard drive on the RAID controller...
