regressing toward the mean

if you live in the okc area and don't watch the 10 o'clock news broadcasts, you are really missing out on some fantastic comedy. doesn't really matter which channel, though i think that channels 4 (nbc) and 5 (abc) are the best. tonight's leading story on channel 5 opened with a graphic of a map of okc and the words "pizza delivery man assaulted."

and now, what i consider a wonderfully insightful comment from tc:

"The best part about academic writing is that you don't have to commit to anything with a skillfully worded sentence."

indeed, my friend, indeed.

I feel like my life is stuck in a Ricky Martin song. Not one in particular, but just looping noise that sounds like a nondescript RM song. At first, you're like, "Hey, I could dance to this," but eventually it's just old. When does it end or change?

I feel the same way. Lately, I've felt like the end of the song (and hopefully the beginning of another) is coming up, but it just never seems to get there. I know that things will change when the song ends, but the ending is taking forver.

That sounded an awful lot like I'm contemplating suicide. Not so; just that I'm ready for a significant change. Grad school ending isn't it, which makes me pissed that I spent $25K just so that I can better understand my personal anguish.

I used to think suicide wasn't an option either.
